Enable downvotes for your questions

Attendees can downvote questions of other participants to express their preference. The downvote will decrease the total number of upvotes for the respective question.

Enable downvotes

To enable downvotes:

  1. Go to Settings and select Features
  2. Open Audience Q&A
  3. Toggle on Downvotes

⭐ In terms of popularity, the order of questions is based on the difference between votes and downvotes.

In the Admin mode, upvote and downvote counts are displayed separately:

In the Participant mode, your attendees will immediately see the resulting difference between upvotes and downvotes:

💡 The Present mode also displays the cumulative difference between upvotes and downvotes.

Show downvotes separately

If you wish, you can also choose to show downvotes separately in the Participant mode instead of a cumulative score. If that's your preference, simply:

  1. Open Settings and find Slido Labs
  2. Enable "Separate score for Q&A downvotes"

💡 Some clients have special settings and might not see Slido Labs.

This is how it looks for your participants:

💡 Even when you show downvotes separately in the Participant mode, the Present mode displays only the cumulative difference between upvotes and downvotes.
