How do I capture names of the participants voting in polls?

💡Available from our Pro, Corporate and Teacher plans

If you're running a contest, a school exam or internal training, you might need to identify your participants' votes according to their names. You can do it by enabling the option of requiring the name when they join the event, or by creating a Survey. You'll then see this information in Polls per user export.

Ask for a name via Settings

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Expand Privacy settings
  3. Turn on Require authentication and Require name

⭐️ Once the event is finished, go to event Analytics and export the Polls per user results

Participants can still choose to vote anonymously:

🚀If you really need to capture the names of your participants, ask them out loud not to Vote as Anonymous

Ask for name and email in a Survey

You can add poll questions 'What's your name?' and 'What's your email?' at the beginning of your Survey no matter if it's a set of rating Polls, a feedback or a student exam.
